Annual General Meeting 2018

It is with great pleasure that we invite members and prospective members to take part in the General Meeting of the Cambridge Society of Belgium, taking place on

13thFebruary 2018, 7:30 pm

at the offices of

Linklaters LLP (13 rue Brederode, 1000 Brussels – near Porte de Namur).

The purpose of this meeting is twofold. First, it is an opportunity for the Committee to present the work done in the previous year, and second, it is an opportunity to express your ideas and opinions about the Society, concerning for instance events that you would like to see organised, or any other aspect of the Society which you would like to discuss. Drinks and snacks will be provided. We refer you to the agenda below.

We strongly solicit ideas for new activities and feedback on past events. We would also like to encourage you to consider contributing to the work of the Committee, either in a specific role or as part of a core group of “auxiliary committee members” who would be willing to give a hand on an ad-hoc basis. We are also looking for volunteers to serve on our xxv subcommittee, charged with preparing the celebrations of the Society’s 25th anniversary in 2019.

Of special interest, immediately after the GM and before the reception, our esteemed Society Historian, Guy Knapton, will give a short talk on the history of the Society and its establishment in 1994.

Please notify us of your attendance in an email to secretary@camsoc.be. If you are unable to attend but have ideas you would like to share, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via email (or you are also more than welcome to send a member to the meeting on your behalf with a written proxy to vote).

We really hope to welcome you there, and look forward to hearing from you.
