9th December, Cologne Christmas Market & Alumni Lunch
The Oxford Cambridge Rheinland Alumni Group (Germany) invites the Belgian Cambridge and Oxford Societies on Sunday December 9th to join them on a visit of the old town of Cologne and its Christmas Market . It will be a great opportunity to get to know this beautiful town with its rich history, as well as meet Oxbridge Alumni from 'next door'.
The preliminary programme is as follows (more details nearer the time):
9:30hrs board the high speed train together at Gare de Midi and share the Sunday papers;
11:15hrs draw into Köln central station in the shadow of its unique gothic cathedral and stretch our legs in the neighbouring squares before
12hrs meeting alumni from Oxford, Cambridge, Ivy League, Berkeley, Stanford and MIT, LSE and Imperial at a restaurant for a convivial lunch
14:30hrs embark on a walking tour of some of the cities renowned and off the beaten track sights
terminating in the Christmas Market
18:40hrs depart for Brussels
