Oxford vs. Cambridge Croquet, 24thJune 2012, Genval

As some of you know and the rest will have guessed, last Sunday's croquet match against Oxford was somewhat of a wash-out, which did not deter us from greatly enjoying our Diamond Jubilee 'Banquet'!

The Committees of both Societies have decided to re-schedule the match for Sunday 24th June. May I remind you that it is held on the croquet lawn in front of the Chateau du Lac Hotel at Genval, on the banks of a fountained lake. The situation is idyllic and those without a car should mention in replying that they are in search of a lift, though it is possible to get to Genval by train from Schuman SNCB station.

The timing is as follows:

Sunday June 24th

09:30hrs Practice Session & Warm Up

10:30hrs -12:30hrs The Match

12.30:  The Presentation of the Cup

After the match we will probably celebrate or commiserate with a drink at a nearby bar or café.

Although teams are largely self-organising entities, it would nonetheless be helpful if those members intending to participate would send word to our Captain of croquet Tony Bernard:  tony.bernard@skynet.be
