Talk, Dr. Jamie Shea, NATO: "What does the US pivot to Asia mean for Europe's security?"- 13th March 2013
The President and Committee of the Oxford Society has kindly invited us to a talk by Dr. Jamie Shea (Spokesperson of NATO) on : "What does the US pivot to Asia mean for Europe's security?".
This will take place on Wednesday March 13th in the conference room of the Eglise des Dominicains de Bruxelles, Avenue de la Renaissance 40, 1000 Bruxelles (near Merode metro) and be followed by dinner in a local restaurant. The proceedings will begin at 7pm with a welcoming drink, the talk is scheduled to start around 7.30 and will be followed by questions and answers until 9pm.
Dr. Shea has agreed to speak to us privately, so I hope many of you will come to listen, he has spoken to us before and expressed most interesting views on the changing political and military state of the world.
An entrance fee of 5 euros for the event is requested for non-Oxonians, to be paid at the door and you are welcome to bring a spouse or partner if you wish. You can choose whether or not to continue to the restaurant afterwards, the dinner normally comes in at about €35-40 per head including wine, details will follow nearer the time.
