Conversation with Ian Lesser, Mon 29.06, 6pm Schumann area
You are invited to the next St. Antony’s College Alumni event in Brussels:
"A conversation with Ian Lesser on the future of the transatlantic relationship"
The event will take place in the Brussels office of the German Marshall Fund, Residence Palace (Rue de la Loi 155, 1040 Brussels; metro Schumann) on Monday, 29th June at 6 pm.
As we see the current world order challenged the transatlantic partnership between the European Union and the United States is more crucial than ever. Yet, there also seems to be the risk of a transatlantic drift. Ian Lesser will talk to us about the most important developments in transatlantic relations and how we might reinvigorate the partnership to face joint global challenges. The event will be moderated by Julia De Clerck-Sachsse. There will be plenty of opportunity to exchange and discuss ideas with our speaker and among Antonians along with some refreshments.
Dr. Ian O. Lesser is senior director for foreign and security policy at GMF, managing activity in these areas across the organization. He also serves as executive director of the Transatlantic Center, GMF’s Brussels Office, and leads GMF's work on the Mediterranean, Turkey, and the wider Atlantic. Ian holds a D.Phil from Oxford University (St Antony’s College).
We are looking forward to seeing many of you there. If you’d like to join, please let them know by Thursday 25 June by sending an email to: sant.belgium@gmail.com
